If I had chosen a more lucrative profession, I would definitely buy one of these houses. There's a cool and mysterious cave at the back of this small cove that actually leads all the way to the other side of this strip of land that sticks out into the Pacific Ocean in Depoe Bay, Oregon.

While on vacation at the beach we went to a sand-sculpture contest. Most of the entries were okay, but it was also very crowded. We wandered on down the beach and found this non-entrant, tucked neatly behind a large log of driftwood. It reminded me of childhood vacations to the beach as well as the human need to create.

My wife and I spent an incredible evening along the Oregon Coast. We drove our Subaru Crosstrek on the sand and set up our beach camp. We made a fire and cooked dinner on next to the ocean, finished off by a bottle of wine and s’mores as we watched the sun dip below the cloud line.

Wine lovers: This is your happy place. Wine country in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, at sunset. Whenever I fly my drone, I usually take a photo right after taking off and one right before landing. These are usually throw-away photos that simply help me remember exactly where I was at in case I want to go back.
